MATERNITY / BUMP PHOTOSHOOT NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

When: Between 30-36 weeks so the bump is big enough.

NEWBORN PHOTOSHOOT NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
Your tiny miracle has arrived and you’d love to remember those magical first weeks with special photos. Of course your little one will take centerstage here but I think it’s lovely for you all as a family to be in some of the photos.
When: During the 3-10 days for those truly newborn moments is perfect.
Location: At my home studio in Thrapston, Kettering.
Duration: I want to be respectful of your little one and not rush things. We can take breaks for feeding, nappy changes, etc. so I like to plan for around 1.5-2 hours per session.

CAKE SMASH & INFANT PHOTOSHOOTS NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
Cake Smash Photography is celebrating your little one on their first birthday. Their own cake, set up and outfit, this shoot is all about them and who they are now. Cake Smash photo shoots are also about you because Mamma, you made it — It is a year of hard work, keeping your baby alive, getting adjusted to cold coffee and tea, learning how to speak baby all while trying to keep yourself sane and alive. This cake smash photography session is about your little ones’ first birthday but it is also about you.
Other photoshoot ideas are sitter sessions are done to celebrate your little one mini milestone at 6 months old. A half birthday if you will. One they have fully found their legs, seasonable shoots like spring time bluebells, summer sunflowers, autumn pumpkins and how can we not forget Christmas themed shoots.
Location: Outside in nature is always a great idea – I’m happy to recommend locations in and around Northamptonshire.

There’s always a reason for taking photos with your family - Capturing that special bond of yours for eternity. My family and seasonal sessions are all about having fun… or making it look like in a few photos you don’t all hate each other!!
Location: Sunrise or sunset location is a must – I know a few gems around Northamptonshire depending on the time of year.
What to wear: Your favourite outfits! I do have a style guide that will ensure you are all in sync

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know or want to know about a newborn baby photoshoot. No question is silly. If you still have questions, please reach out and I will be happy to answer.
+ When should I schedule a newborn baby photo shoot?
The best time to get your babies photo taken is between 3 & 10 days of birth. That way we capture them at their most smallest... Oh and they are mostly asleep, which means less wriggly!!
+ When should I book a photo shoot?
As early as possible - I book up very fast monhts ahead. If you are having a newborn shoot, I will book 1-2 dates around your due date. It is completely flexible.
+ How long does a baby photo shoot last?
It's entirely based on how your baby is on during the session. It could be 1hr to potentially 4hrs. There is no rush, we want to ensure we get the best out of each session.
+ Is a newborn photoshoot worth it?
1 million % yes! You will NEVER get this time again! They grow up so fast and you'll want to look back in years to come to remember how tiny and precious they once were.
+ Do I need to provide any props for a newborn shoot?
If you have any ribons, headbands or other items that are sentimental, were gifted or think are super cute, bring them along! I usually use the items like blankets that you have. When we talk through the ideas you have, we can look at what is available and if we need to buy any bits like flowers or specfic colours, then we can make arrangements. I will be able to provide you with a list of things I have available to use.
+ Do you travel out of Northamptonshire?
I can travel but I suggest you come to me. It gets you out the house and I have all my equipment and props. I use natural light from a large double patio door. However, if you would like me to visit you, lets discuss the location and the space you have. I will advise any travel costs when we talk.
+ Can I have my newborn photos taken at my home?
Yes! As long as there is suffient space, this is a great option for new parents. It means you don't have to pack a million things or worry about being late... You get to be in the comfort of your own home, stress free.
+ Can I bring my other child(ren)?
If you would like to have the babies siblings in some of the photos, then yes, they are more than welcome. I would suggest we get them in the shots first so they do not feel left out.
+ When should I have a maternity shoot?
When you are nice and fat and about to pop... I would say around 28-36 weeks of pregancy.
+ How much is a maternity shoot?
I often have speical offers if you book a newborn session as well, so please send me a quick message.
+ Do I have to be naked in a maternity shoot?
No. You decide how much skin you'd like to show. It is your shoot, your body & your images to cherish.
+ Can you take a photo of me breastfeeding?
Totally natural and a fantastic image to document. Just let me know. I will never suggest it.
+ What is a sitter session?
As the name suggests, these shoots are perfect when your little one can hold their own. Its a real milestone that they can sit without flopping over. This is now a great time to get a shot without them laying down or being held up by you.
+ What are seasonal photoshoots?
Throughout the year, there are some great opportunities to capture little moments throughout the year. The bluebells during spring are my favuriate. Some other ideas include lavendar fields and sunflowers in August. Think Instagram bangers and you get the idea.
+ What does "all useable images" really mean?
Although I cannot guarentee any quantity of images on the day, I will provide all the good shots. I will make selections based on what shots are in focus, the best lighting, composition and expressions. I will remove all duplicates, blinking & blury shots and deliver a gallery with all the best ones. There could be the same pose, but in two different angles or cropped a little different (portrait instead of landscpae) - I want to provide you with a wide range of shots.
